Weltmeyer needs no introdution. Being one of the top sires in dressage history, it is a privilage to own one of his best sons. Weltmeyer sired almost 4000 registered offspring, and 85 approved sons, the most of any stallion world wide. He sired more than 416 State premium mares. The winning sum of his offspring is almost 2'000'000.00 Euros. What more can be said about this top producer of dressage horses?
Westernhagen's dam is State Premium Lady Larissa (Landadel Calypso II), out of one of the best German mare lines. (Sunrise, the Olympic horse and world champion of the Netherlands, is out of the same dam line.) Lady Larissa was winner of a regional foal show in Scottrum, came fifth in the German Foal Championships, five times winner of her division, one time winner of her show, and has a final score of 8,39, with a score of 9,4 for her trot. There is only State Premium mares in her dam line , she received the title Elite Winning Family , together with her dam and sister, as Elite Family at a regional show at Scottrum.
Westernhagen's foals are known for their expression, their nobility, their perfect height and their outstanding, powerful basic gaits with striking elegance. In 2002, Westernhagen presented the winning foal at a regional horse show in Sottrum.
In 2005 his first horse in an auction, Windelina, sold for 41000.00 Euros. Later she won the division of four-year old riding horses in Bargstedt. She was also reserve champion of a mare show in Bissendorf. Windeler, a stallion by him that was sold as a foal to Spain, won the division of four-year-old horses in the Spanish Championchips in 2006. In October 2006 a mare by him, Wenezia, sold for 130000.00 Euros at the Elite Auction in Verten to the well known auction customer Perry Thomas from the USA.
Westernhagen's brother (by the same dam) was bought at the October 2010 stallion licencing by the Dutch owners of the world Champion Olympic horse Sunrise.
